TRADIŢII The Students Folk Ensemble has been sponsored by the University of Agriculturale Science and Veterinary Medicine(USAMV) from Cluj-Napoca since 2006.
In time USAMV has become a successful institution as it has been evaluated by the EUA in 2004 and continues to keep it’s tradition fo 140 years now, by improving the academic system and it’s management.The ensemble has been brought into existence because the administration of USAMV wanted to offer the students a nice extraschool activity and at the same time the possibility to truly know the Romanian tradition.
TRADIŢII Ensemble has two groups of dancers: a performance group and an initiation one. Most of the dancers are students from USAMV. The dancers from performance-group of TRADIŢII represent the first generation of DOINA Childrens Ensemble, so that they have more than 12 years of scenical experience.
Therefore TRADIŢII Ensemble is one with grate results both in Romania and abroad.
The Ensemble’s repertory is a very rich one and includes folklore regarding choreography and music from differents parts of the country such as: Transilvania , The hills of Cluj and Dej, also from Codru, Făgăraş and Banat region, Agrijului Valey from Sălaj, Maramureş, Târnavelor Valey, Năsăud, Moldova, and Căluşul from Oltenia region.
The authentic costumes, made by hand in different villages from Romania, the great backing, conducted by DĂNUȚ BALAZS , and the interesting performances, make the TRADIŢII Ensemble to enjoy the respect of others ensembles from Romania.
